The Department of Business Administration, is offering programs such as BBA, BBA (Business Analytics), BBA (Retail Management) at UG level and MBA and MBA (Business Analytics) at Post Graduation Level. The MBA Program was started in the academic year 1986-87 with multiple specializations and BBA program was started in the year 1991-92. BBA (Business Analytics) was started in 2017- 18. The student strength of the Department is XXX Both PG and UG programs were running under ‘Autonomous Stream’ which gives us flexibility to schedule and design our activities to match best in the sector. The curriculum and course structure are revised regularly and presently following ‘Choice Based Credit System’ in all the programs of the Department. The Department was led by eminent personalities in the field of academics such as Prof S Vijaya Raju, Chairman, APSCHE, Prof G Anjaneya Swamy, Director, School of Management, Pondicherry University, Prof P Subrahmanyam, Former Dean of Commerce, Osmania Universiy, Prof K Hanumantha Rao, Former Dean of Commerce, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Prof B Ramesh, Head and Dean of Commerce Faculty, Goa University. Presently, the department is having the faculty strength of 13 of which 8 members are possessing Doctoral Degree. The average experience of the teaching staff is above 20 years. The faculty members have authored seven books with ISBN in various subjects of Commerce and Business Administration published by Duvvuri Publications.
Industry- Academia Association: Commerce and Business Administration subjects’ needs external orientation and thorough understanding about the changes happening in Business, Government and society. In order to fortify industry-academia association the Department is maintaining close relation with institutions such as CII, APNRT, APSSDC, AP Innovation Society, FICCI, AP Chamber of Commerce, AP Productivity Council, Vijayawada Chamber of Commerce, etc. The Department is the Permanent Institutional Member in AIMS, Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS/LF/AP/SZ/2146), and National HRD Network (PINST/VJW/0001/2005).
MOU Entered an MOU with National Stock Exchange to offer ‘NCCMP’ Course to students, upon successful completion of the course they will become NSE Certified Capital Market Professionals. Also, we are having collaboration with Tally Academy Pvt Ltd to offer training in Computerised Accounting Packages to our students. MoUs with CII-YI, BYST for fostering entrepreneurial culture.
Thrust on Research: The Department is recognized as Research Centre by Krishna University which is our affiliating institution and several Research Scholars successfully pursuing their Ph D degrees under the research guidance of our faculty. Six faculty members are recognized as Research Guides by the affiliating Krishna University. So far Eleven M Phil and Nine Ph D degrees were awarded to the research scholars under the guidance of Prof Rajesh C Jampala, Head of the Department.

Consistent Results
The department of business administration (UG) has been achieving consistent academic performance in terms of results.

Project Work
The BBA Curriculum includes a project work in which the student carries out an academic study selecting a given topic of business administration for a complete semester. At the end of the period, the student submits a report and attends Viva-voce. This component facilitates practical exposure of students to the real-world corporate management practices.

Assignments
Every subject includes an internal evaluation component on assignments. A student is expected to take up the assignment assigned to him and collect pertinent information from various secondary sources such as textbooks, articles in newspapers, articles in magazines, Internet-based resources etc., This enables a student learns how to explore various resources for a better understanding of a given concept and present the same in an orderly format. Usually, students are given individual assignments.

Annual Meets
The department of Business Administration conducts a management meet annually titled 'Magnova' as a state-level competition for one day. The event is comprised of the following competitions to provide a platform for the students to showcase their inner talents:
- FORMAL EVENTS – On different subject areas such as Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Business Quiz, Young manager contest etc., involving case studies and direct quizzical questions.
- INFORMAL EVENTS – Fashion show, Memory test, Treasure hunt, Drawing competitions are some of the informal competitions which are open to all students from all disciplines.

These are conducted at two levels. One is competitions among only BBA students and the other is competitions involving Business administration students at UG as well as PG levels. The competitions are conducted on the following:- Case studies
